Am I Suitable For Lemon bottle Fat Dissolving?

You are an ideal client if you have no more than 30Ibs of excess weight to lose. Clients must remember that this service is not a weight loss option but rather an improvement on stubborn fat areas. You must also be prepared to improve on current health & lifestyle choices in order to encourage optimal results. This includes avoiding alcohol for 72 hours post-service. Increasing liquid intake to at least 1.5 litres of water or non-carbonated water for 3 days pre-service and 7 days post.

The saying is the more we drink the more we shrink and this is so true, we have to allow our bodies the opportunity to heal & a body lacking hydration often means it will not work well under pressure & the liver and kidneys can often feel the strain.

A reduction of saturated fats & high carb content is also advised to be followed in the days immediately after treatment.

The Pinch of Inch

If you can comfortably pick up & pinch an inch of fat between your finger & thumb, then you are suitable for treatment. If it is just skin laxity in the area then you are not suitable for this treatment. Contra-Actions

Common effects post treatment:

Inflammation of the treatment area is to be expected.
Some degree of pain or discomfort during the process & for an average of 2-4 hours post treatment.
Tenderness to the treatment area for up to 7 days post treatment.
Light bruising.
Erythema.
Occasionally nodules can be felt under the skin for up to 5 days where the product is deposited.

Uncommon side effects:

Nodules takings up to 3 months to disburse - Delayed settling and will disburse on their own. Can be improved with treatments including radio frequency and ultrasonic cavitation.
Hyperpigmentation - Can often be seen when product is injected into skin that has cellulite or stretch marks. Usually settles over time and can be improved with micro needling.

Follow Up Treatments

Lemon Bottle treatments can be done weekly, a course of 3-4 is recommended for best results, however results can be seen after 24 hours.

Fat-dissolving is an inflammatory process it needs time to work & recover. This treatment is not a quick fix, and results will not always be seen straight away. The best results are often seen between 21 and 45 days.

Contraindications

In generally fit & healthy clients, fat dissolving is a relatively safe & effective treatment. However there are a few clients that are unsuitable for Lemon Bottle Fat Dissolving treatments:

An allergy or intolerance to any of the ingredients in the product (Pineapple)
Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Under 18's & over 60's, as results are likely not to be effective.
Lipodystrophy (where the body is unable to produce fat).
Lipoedema is an abnormal build-up of fat often in the legs and sometimes found in the arms also. The cause is often unknown & liposuction is the only effective way of removal of this stubborn fat.
Liver & kidney disease or disorders.
Diabetes.
Thyroid disorders.
Permanent use of anticoagulants.
Skin disease & disorders in the target area - psoriasis, eczema, scabies etc.
Scar tissue - Do not treat in scar tissue area until 6 months post healing.
Current infection or illness.
For the use of excessive weight loss
Clients actively taking weight loss injections, such as Ozempic, Saxenda or any similar drug, MUST NOT undergo concurrent Fat Dissolving treatments. The side effects of these treatments such as sickness & nausea can cause dehydration & potentially put strain on the kidneys.

PRE - TREATMENT ADVICE TO CLIENT

Advice for the days leading up to your treatment:

It is recommended to come in for an allergy patch test & consultation at least 24 hours prior to your treatment.
Drink at least 1.5 litres of non-carbonated water each day for the 3 days pre treatment & 7 days post treatment.
For best results, avoid alcohol for 3 days prior to your treatment & 2 days after treatment.
Avoid taking ibuprofen & any other Anti Inflammatory medication or drinking coffee for 48 hours prior to treatment.
If you have are taking aspirin, stop three days before the treatment, after obtaining your doctor's consent.
It's recommended that you use new cosmetic products after the treatment as this will reduce the chances of bacterial contamination. It is advised to purchase these beforehand.

Advice for the day of your treatment:

You must be in good health on the day of treatment.
Eat before you visit the clinic. This will help with blood sugar levels.
You will be required to fill in a Treatment Consent Form & have photographs taken as part of your treatment record which will be stored securely in your confidential file.

Aftercare Advice

No anti-inflammatory drugs for at least 72 hours post treatment. Taking these will adverse the effects of Lemon Bottle, as the process is to inflame & destroy the fat cells. If anti-inflammatory drugs are taken, this will massively affect the outcome of your treatment.

Avoid touching the treatment area for up to 6 hours.
Wash with mild soap, do not scrub the area, just gentle dabbing for 3-5 days.
Avoid excessive exercise for 3 days.
Avoid saunas, swimming pools & steam rooms for 3 days.
No sunbeds or spray tans for 7 days post treatment.
Use arnica cream if you feel necessary for 7 days to help reduce bruising.
Avoid blood thinners.
Hot or cold compress can help reduce swelling.
Light mineral makeup can be worn after 24 hours.
Avoid heavy makeup for 5 days post treatment.
No swimming for 3 days post treatment.
No sauna or steam for 3 days post treatment.
Follow a low fat & low carbohydrate diet & increase water intake to at least 2 litres a day to maximise results.
