BioRePeel Chemical Peel: Advanced Skin Rejuvenation at Melanie Jayne's Beauty & Aesthetics Clinic

Discover the transformative power of the BioRePeel Chemical Peel, now available in Clinic. This innovative treatment is designed to deliver not only profound chemical exfoliation but also to rejuvenate and restore skin with minimal downtime, making it a perfect choice for those looking to improve their skin health and appearance efficiently.

What is BioRePeel Chemical Peel?

The BioRePeel Chemical Peel is an advanced, bi-phase TCA peel that uniquely combines the intense exfoliating properties of a chemical peel with the gentle, regenerative capabilities of skin-nurturing ingredients. It's specifically formulated to address a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, texture, acne, and hyperpigmentation, while simultaneously promoting vibrant, healthier-looking skin.

Benefits of the BioRePeel Chemical Peel

Exfoliation - Removes dead skin layers, promoting cell renewal and brighter, smoother skin.

Stimulation - Enhances collagen production, essential for maintaining skin's elasticity and firmness.

Purification - Deeply cleanses pores, reducing the visibility of blackheads and preventing future acne.

Hydration -Features ingredients that lock in moisture, improving skin hydration without the heaviness of creams or oils.

Protection - Contains antioxidants that protect against environmental stressors and oxidative damage.

No Downtime - Unlike more aggressive peels, BioRePeel offers a no-downtime solution. Clients can immediately return to their daily activities with no visible peeling, making it an ideal choice for busy individuals.

Suitable for All Skin Types - This peel is safe and effective for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It addresses a range of skin concerns, from fine lines and wrinkles to acne and hyperpigmentation.

Enhanced Skin Health - By promoting rapid cell turnover, BioRePeel helps to flush out impurities and enhance skin hydration. Regular treatments can lead to diminished signs of aging and a healthier, more vibrant skin complexion.

Improved Texture and Tone - Clients will notice a significant improvement in the texture and tone of their skin. The peel works to diminish fine lines, reduce acne, and fade hyperpigmentation, resulting in a smoother and more even complexion.

Key Ingredients

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) - Known for its effectiveness in reducing signs of aging and improving skin clarity by removing dead skin cells and stimulating new cell growth.

Salicylic Acid - A beta-hydroxy acid that penetrates into pores to dissolve sebum and fight acne-causing bacteria.

Lactic Acid - An alpha-hydroxy acid that moisturizes and gently exfoliates the skin, reducing scars and age spots.

Vitamin C - An antioxidant that brightens the skin, evens out skin tone, and shields against damage from UV rays and pollution.

GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) - Provides a calming effect on the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by inhibiting muscle contractions.

The Treatment Process

The BioRePeel treatment is quick and painless, typically completed in about 25 minutes (45 minutes with the Dermalux LED Light). After cleansing the skin, the peel is applied and left on for a short period before being neutralised and washed off. The application process involves minimal discomfort, with only a slight tingling or itching sensation.

Consultation - Our advanced practitioner, Mel will evaluate your skin type and concerns to tailor the BioRePeel treatment for your specific needs.

Application - The peel is applied to clean, dry skin. You may feel a mild tingling sensation as the active ingredients penetrate the skin.

Duration - The peel remains on the skin for only a few minutes. After it is neutralised and removed, the Dermalux LED Light is applied to further heal & enhance skin benefits, followed by a soothing agent.

Recovery - This no-downtime peel allows you to immediately return to your daily activities. Minimal redness and sensitivity may occur, which typically subsides within a few hours.

Who Can Benefit?

BioRePeel Chemical Peel is suitable for all skin types and ages. Whether you are dealing with premature aging, sun damage, acne, or simply want to refresh your skin's appearance, this treatment can be customized to meet your needs

Who Is BioRePeel Not Suitable For?

BioRePeel is generally considered safe, but like all medical aesthetic treatments, it has specific contraindications. Here is a list of situations where BioRePeel should be avoided:

  • Allergy to Ingredients - Individuals with a known allergy to any of the components in the BioRePeel formulation, such as trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid, or lactic acid, should not undergo this treatment.

  • Active Skin Infections - Any active skin infection, including bacterial, fungal, or viral infections like herpes simplex, is a contraindication. Treatment should be postponed until the infection has fully resolved.

  • Skin Inflammation or Irritation - Conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, or any other forms of active dermatitis in the treatment area should be fully resolved before considering BioRePeel.

  • Wounds or Recent Scars - Open wounds, significant recent scars, or damaged skin barriers are contraindications because the chemical peel can worsen these conditions.

  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding - Due to a lack of research on the effects of BioRePeel’s active ingredients on pregnant or breastfeeding women, it is generally recommended to avoid the treatment during these periods.

  • Accutane Use - Clients currently taking or who have recently completed a course of isotretinoin (Accutane) should avoid chemical peels, including BioRePeel, due to the increased risk of significant irritation and poor wound healing. A waiting period of at least 6-12 months post-treatment is typically advised.

  • Sunburn or Recent Sun Exposure - Recent significant sun exposure or sunburn can increase the risk of adverse reactions from the peel. It's advisable to avoid sun exposure and not have sunburned skin at the time of treatment.

  • History of Keloid Scarring - Individuals prone to keloid scars may also be advised to avoid chemical peels due to the risk of abnormal scarring.

Before undergoing a BioRePeel treatment, it is essential for clients to have a thorough consultation to discuss all potential risks and contraindications based on their specific medical history and skin condition. This ensures the treatment is both safe and effective for each individual.

A BioRePeel facial is an innovative peeling procedure with a bio-stimulating, revitalizing, and peeling action, thanks to its specific and carefully selected ingredients. This treatment is known for its effectiveness in providing a deep facial cleansing, minimising the appearance of fine lines, and improving skin texture without the downtime associated with traditional chemical peels. Following a BioRePeel treatment, it's crucial to adhere to specific post-care instructions to maximise the benefits and minimise any potential adverse reactions. Here are some general post-care recommendations:

𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲

  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: After the peel, the skin is more sensitive to UV radiation. Clients should avoid direct sunlight for at least 48 hours post-treatment and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.

  • No Makeup: It’s advisable to avoid wearing makeup for at least 12 hours following the treatment to allow the skin to breathe and recover.

  • Stay Cool: Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating, saunas, or steam rooms for 24-48 hours post-treatment to prevent irritation.

𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

  • Gentle Cleansing: Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser to wash the face without scrubbing. Pat the skin dry without rubbing.

  • Moisturise: Keep the skin well-hydrated with a fragrance-free, gentle moisturiser to help soothe and protect the skin barrier.

  • Avoid Exfoliation: Do not use any exfoliating products for at least a week after the treatment, as the skin has already been deeply exfoliated by the peel.

𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

  • No Picking: Avoid picking or peeling any flaking skin. This can lead to scarring or infection. Let any peeling occur naturally.

  • Watch for Adverse Reactions: While adverse reactions are rare, it’s important to monitor the skin for any signs of excessive redness, swelling, or other unusual effects and contact Mel at the Clinic if any concerns arise.

𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘂𝗽 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲

  • Hydration and Nutrition: Increase water intake to help maintain skin hydration. Also, eating a balanced diet rich in antioxidants can support skin healing and rejuvenation.

  • Follow-up Treatments: Depending on the skin’s condition and the desired outcomes, multiple sessions may be recommended. It’s important to follow Mel’s advice on when it’s safe to undergo subsequent treatments.
